Barack Obama the Communist...er, Community Organizer.
* Melanie Phillips at the Spectator UK is another brilliant Brit, in this article she describes why Obama's work as a Community Organizer is extremely important...but not for the reasons you think. Michelle Malkin echoes the reasons why Mr. Obama's experience as a Community Organizer is a HUGE negative, not the positive that his campaign is spinning it as.
* Why Sarah Palin is important. The author of this column (Melanie Phillips) also mentions that the choice of Obama and Palin shows that the culture war is still alive and well in the USA. She is right.
* Very interesting article...apparently Mr. Obama tried to talk the Iraqi government OUT of making a withdrawal agreement with Bush administration. This article alone should sink Obama's hopes for being President...but people will make excuses for him.
* This article echoes my sentiments about the difference between McCain and Obama. I have been saying for quite a while that McCain is the more moderate of the two, and has a much better record of bipartisanship than the Chosen One.
* Charlie Rangel has run into more tax problems. Rangel apparently forgot about ANOTHER beach house, and some income that he forgot to report. Make no mistake Morales (and his evil brother Chavez) are intent on harming the USA and it's interests.

Freakin' Polls!
* Michelle Malkin does it again with this hard hitting examination of two recent worldwide polls. Brilliant analysis of the idiocy that runs rampant in the world today.
* I was looking over an AP poll recently and found myself dumbfounded by the time I finished the article/poll. Here is the part I read through, but could not believe or understand (keep in mind that the poll found that McCain had a slight 4 point lead)...
WASHINGTON (AP) -
"Eighty percent (of those interviewed) say McCain, with nearly three decades in Congress, has the right experience to be president. Just 46 percent say Obama, now in his fourth year in the Senate, is experienced enough. Another 47 percent say Obama lacks the proper experience—an even worse reading than the 36 percent who had the same criticism about Palin, now in her second year as governor after serving as a small-town mayor in her state...
Asked to choose between a presidential candidate with solid experience and another whose values and views they support, two-thirds picked the latter. While those preferring experience overwhelmingly back McCain, people seeking agreement with a contender's values say they'll back Obama over McCain, 56 percent to 38 percent...
Even so, McCain has a slight 9-point advantage when people were asked whether they had similar values and principles with the candidates, and an 8-point edge over whether they agreed with the contenders' stances on issues." (Emphasis added)
OK. Do you see why this poll stupefies me? So 66% of those polled say that values and views are more important than experience. Of those who picked values 56% said they will back Obama over McCain...yet McCain has a 9% advantage over Obama when those polled were asked whose values do you agree with. Of the 34% who say that experience is more important, McCain is the overwhelming choice...so how is it exactly, that McCain only has a 4% lead??? These numbers don't add up...or these people who were polled are insane. Here is a quote from the article that sums up exactly why I am frustrated with the American electorate...
"My heart sort of runs with McCain and my mind probably tends to run toward Obama," said David Scorup, 58, a county government official in Othello, Wash. "I think I resonate more with McCain."
WHAT??? Completely ridiculous...

There is a yawning gulf between what the Democratic candidate says and how he has acted. That's why the race is so close

"It's funny how the harder you look at something, the harder it can be to understand it. I can't recall a US presidential election that has attracted more attention. But neither can there have been a time when the world has watched what goes on in America with the nonplussed, horrified incomprehension it has now.
Travelling in Britain this week, I've been asked repeatedly by close followers of US politics if it can really be true that Barack Obama might not win. Thoughtful people cannot get their head around the idea that Mr Obama, exciting new pilot of change, supported by Joseph Biden, experienced navigator of the swamplands of Washington politics, could possibly be defeated.
They look upon John McCain and Sarah Palin and see something out of hag-ridden history: the wizened old warrior, obsessed with finding enemies in every corner of the globe, marching in lockstep with the crackpot, mooseburger-chomping mother from the wilds of Alaska, rifle in one hand, Bible in the other, smiting caribou and conventional science as she goes.
Two patronising explanations are adduced to explain why Americans are going wrong. The first is racism. I've dealt with this before and it has acquired no more merit. White supremacists haven't been big on Democratic candidates, whatever their colour, for a long time, and Mr Obama's race is as likely to generate enthusiasm among blacks and young voters as it is hostility among racists.
In a similarly condescending account, those foolish saps are being conned into voting for Mr McCain because they like his running-mate. Her hockey-mom charm and storybook career appeals to their worst instincts. The race is boiling down to a beauty contest in which a former beauty queen is stealing the show. Believe this if it helps you come to terms with the possibility of a Democratic defeat. But there really are better explanations.
One is a simple political-cultural one. This election is a struggle between the followers of American exceptionalism and the supporters of global universalism. Democrats are more eager than ever to align the US with the rest of the Western world, especially Europe. This is true not just in terms of a commitment to multilateral diplomacy that would restore the United Nations to its rightful place as arbiter of international justice. It is also reflected in the type of place they'd like America to be - a country with higher taxes, more business regulation, a much larger welfare safety net and universal health insurance. The Republicans, who still believe America should follow the beat of its own drum, are pretty much against all of that.
You can argue the merits of each case. But let me try to explain to my fellow non-Americans why Mr Obama's problems go well beyond that. Even if you think that Americans should want to turn their country into a European-style system, there is a perfectly good reason that you might have grave doubts about Mr Obama.
The essential problem coming to light is a profound disconnect between the Barack Obama of the candidate's speeches, and the Barack Obama who has actually been in politics for the past decade or so.
Speechmaker Obama has built his campaign on the promise of reform, the need to change the culture of American political life, to take on the special interests that undermine government's effectiveness and erode trust in the system itself,
Politician Obama rose through a Chicago machine that is notoriously the most corrupt in the country. As David Freddoso writes in a brilliantly cogent and measured book, The Case Against Barack Obama, the angel of deliverance from the old politics functioned like an old-time Democratic pol in Illinois. He refused repeatedly to side with those lonely voices that sought to challenge the old corrupt ways of the ruling party.
Speechmaker Obama talks about an era of bipartisanship, He speaks powerfully about the destructive politics of red and blue states.
Politician Obama has toed his party's line more reliably than almost any other Democrat in US politics. He has a near-perfect record of voting with his side. He has the most solidly left-wing voting history in the Senate. His one act of bipartisanship, a transparency bill co-sponsored with a Republican senator, was backed by everybody on both sides of the aisle. He has never challenged his party's line on any issue of substance.
Speechmaker Obama talks a lot about finding ways to move beyond the bloody battlegrounds of the “culture wars” in America; the urgent need to establish consensus on the emotive issue of abortion.
Politician Obama's support for abortion rights is the most extreme of any Democratic senator. In the Illinois legislature he refused to join Democrats and Republicans in supporting a Bill that would require doctors to provide medical care for babies who survived abortions. No one in the Senate - not the arch feminist Hillary Clinton nor the superliberal Edward Kennedy - opposed this same humane measure.
Here's the real problem with Mr Obama: the jarring gap between his promises of change and his status quo performance. There are just too many contradictions between the eloquent poetry of the man's stirring rhetoric and the dull, familiar prose of his political record.
It's been remarked that the biggest difference between Americans and Europeans is religion: ignorant Americans cling to faith; enlightened Europeans long ago embraced the liberating power of reason. Yet here's an odd thing about this election. Europeans are asking Americans to take a leap of faith, to break the chains of empiricism and embrace the possibility of the imagination.
The fact is that a vote for Mr Obama demands uncritical subservience to the irrational, anti-empirical proposition that the past holds no clues about the future, that promise is wholly detached from experience. The second-greatest story ever told, perhaps."

Bias in the Media?
* As if we needed more proof that the Main Stream Media is biased...check out where the folks who report the news, find the news. I know the Media folks hate when conservatives call them biased and liberal...but if we can be intellectually honest for a second...if we polled the folks at NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN which candidate do you think they would choose? It wouldn't even be close. John Robert's of CNN proving my point.
* The ladies of the View again showed hatred of Christians and conservatives. Whoopi Goldberg went so far as to ask "Do I need to worry about being a slave again?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Because McCain is Republican and likes the Constitution she is worried about slavery? Does she have the same fears if Obama is elected? Probably not, seeing as how the Democrat Party hates the Constitution.
* How does Barrack Obama feel about babies? Let's just say his daughters are lucky they were planned.
* Barrack Obama may be more intimate with the terrorist leader William Ayers of Chicago, than he lets on. It seems that there is a special task force of Obama cronies making sure that his connections to Ayers are not uncovered.
* The Obama campaign pretends to champion gender equality in the workplace, but the key here is, pretends to champion. This article uncovers the inequality of working for the Chosen One's campaign.
* Great column from Ann Coulter...my favorite part:
"By my count, roughly one in four books in print in the world at this very moment have the words "Bush" and "Lie" in their title. Barnes & Noble has been forced to add an "I Hate Bush" section. I don't believe there are as many anti-Hitler books.
Despite the fact that Hitler brought "change," promoted clean, energy-efficient mass transit by making the trains run on time, supported abortion for the non-master races, vastly expanded the power of the national government and was uniformly adored by college students and their professors, I gather that liberals don't like Hitler because they're constantly comparing him to Bush." Brilliant.
* According to all of our standards of measurement, we are winning the war in Iraq.
* I don't know who Gerard Baker is, but he is absolutely BRILLIANT! He writes for the UK Times Online, and though I don't often say this...he makes me think that maybe we can still count on the Brits to come through...maybe. This is a wonderful column. Well thought out, and superbly written...I will be searching for more of Mr. Baker's writing.
I tell you what, I still feel very uncertain about John McCain and am still planning to vote for Chuck Baldwin...but every day the Democrats push me more and more to consider John McCain. That's right...the Democrat Party is making me want to vote for McCain...not McCain or Palin or the Republican Party...but their opponent! Boy, is this frustrating.

A Conservative's Fear.
I have been thinking a lot lately about why it seems that on TV people who are liberal are angry but people who are conservative seem afraid. Maybe I am over simplifying, but I can honestly say I am scared that Barrack Obama will win the election in November. (I can't say that I will be happy if John McCain wins, but less frightened) I think it has something to do with some important issues we face in this election. Now remember that these issues really matter most if the Democrats keep control of Congress (which seems likely).
Abortion - If John McCain wins, status quo. If Barrack Obama wins, a reversal of the partial birth abortion ban...but even more...more federal funds for abortion both at home and overseas, a very liberal sex education program in our public schools (starting at kindergarten), federal law striking down parental notification...? As one of the most liberal pro-abortion Senators in the Senate Obama could try to loosen restrictions on abortion in every way possible.
Healthcare - John McCain wins, status quo plus maybe some fighting to lower Healthcare costs by asking insurance companies to help out. Barrack Obama? Socialist Healthcare. An increase in taxes to pay this off, and eventually we have the issues that plague Canada and Great Britain. Where doctors are scarce and getting good preventative medication almost nonexistent. After that, a realization that we cannot possibly pay for everyone to be treated meaning that we can only treat those with the best chance of recovering. So legalized euthanasia and more abortions on demand...especially if the child is at risk for any list of disabilities. Nazi Germany anyone?
Social Security - John Mccain wins, status quo plus maybe a little more privatization of funds. Barrack Obama wins, he realizes that Social Security is not currently solvent. How does he meet this challenge? He must raise taxes.
Education - John McCain, status quo. Barrack Obama, more money for education. I am not a broken record but where does the money come from? More taxes.
1st Amendment Rights - John McCain, status quo. Barrack Obama? Barrack and his friends reenact the Fairness Doctrine mandating more liberal radio talk shows and/or less conservative ones. Obama and co. continue to marginalize the Christian community and continue their support for groups like the ACLU, NOW, and NARAL.
2nd Amendment Rights - John McCain wins, status quo. Obama wins, can you say "repeal"?
Illegal Immigration - Well they are both pretty bad but if McCain wins...status quo. Obama wins, and we WILL have amnesty and our borders will open to Mexico. You can be assured that NAFTA will broaden to allow for more favorable treatment of illegal aliens than is currently afforded to them.
And there is so much more. The point here is that if John McCain wins the liberal wing of American politics loses nothing. They will still have a Democrat controlled Congress to advance their agenda, and they can continue to halt the Republican agenda...as the current "do-nothing" Congress has. If Obama wins, truly terrifying (in the eyes of Conservatives)things happen.
* Speaking of the "do-nothing" Congress why has the media not reported that since they have taken charge of policy the country has seen this current downturn? The average American does not realize how little power the President has in day to day affairs. Your pocketbook issues are controlled by the Congress and it's time for the Republican Party to educate the public on that. The reason Congress has done nothing over the last 2 years is because they have been too busy fighting the Republicans to worry about the USA. In fact the most popular thing the Democrats have done is get behind the Republican idea of drilling more on US soil...and I bet somehow the Democrat Party will get credit for this.
* Democrats fear they may have chosen the wrong guy to lead.
* Other Democrats fear that Obama may hurt their chances for reelection.
* The seem right to be worried, according to this latest Gallup poll.
* Joe Biden admitting there are better people for his job. Boy does Senator Biden talk too much! He seems like a nice guy but he just keeps saying the wrong things!

Social Security - John Mccain wins, status quo plus maybe a little more privatization of funds. Barrack Obama wins, he realizes that Social Security is not currently solvent. How does he meet this challenge? He must raise taxes.
Education - John McCain, status quo. Barrack Obama, more money for education. I am not a broken record but where does the money come from? More taxes.
1st Amendment Rights - John McCain, status quo. Barrack Obama? Barrack and his friends reenact the Fairness Doctrine mandating more liberal radio talk shows and/or less conservative ones. Obama and co. continue to marginalize the Christian community and continue their support for groups like the ACLU, NOW, and NARAL.
2nd Amendment Rights - John McCain wins, status quo. Obama wins, can you say "repeal"?
Illegal Immigration - Well they are both pretty bad but if McCain wins...status quo. Obama wins, and we WILL have amnesty and our borders will open to Mexico. You can be assured that NAFTA will broaden to allow for more favorable treatment of illegal aliens than is currently afforded to them.
And there is so much more. The point here is that if John McCain wins the liberal wing of American politics loses nothing. They will still have a Democrat controlled Congress to advance their agenda, and they can continue to halt the Republican agenda...as the current "do-nothing" Congress has. If Obama wins, truly terrifying (in the eyes of Conservatives)things happen.
* Speaking of the "do-nothing" Congress why has the media not reported that since they have taken charge of policy the country has seen this current downturn? The average American does not realize how little power the President has in day to day affairs. Your pocketbook issues are controlled by the Congress and it's time for the Republican Party to educate the public on that. The reason Congress has done nothing over the last 2 years is because they have been too busy fighting the Republicans to worry about the USA. In fact the most popular thing the Democrats have done is get behind the Republican idea of drilling more on US soil...and I bet somehow the Democrat Party will get credit for this.

9/11 We still remember...

I would like to take a moment to thank all of our soldiers who are fighting for us in those dark places on the other side of the world. Our faith and prayers are with you, and you are truly heroes. For generations the best that America has had, have fought to keep us safe from those who would harm us. During the War for Independence farmers, journalists, lawyers, teachers all stood to fight for our noble cause. In the War of 1812, they fought again to free us from British despotism. During the War between the States brave men on both sides of the fight died for what they thought were nobler and higher purposes. In the Spanish-American War many brave men fought faithfully for our nation. In WWI our "doughboys" left their homes to defend the well being of our allies across the Atlantic. This would mark the first time our soldiers left our soil to fight to save and spread democracy. In WWII our "Greatest Generation" picked up arms again this time to defend us and the world from the tyranny of fascism in Germany, Italy, and Japan. In Korea and then Vietnam our men and women would again and again prove their mettle, even though many would return to perfidious crowds of hate mongers who jeered these soldiers for doing their duty. (Yes I am talking about hippies and war protesters of Vietnam...not that they shouldn't protest but that they treated our soldiers ignominiously.) Ron Paul makes a mistake...
Ron Paul will not support John McCain for President in this election. Instead he has endorsed four 3rd Party Candidates. Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party, Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party, Ralph Nader who is running as an Independent, and Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party. I have no problem with Dr. Paul not endorsing John McCain, my only problem here is that crazies lie Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney are much less in line with Paul than McCain is. I wish he would have chosen to endorse Chuck Baldwin, who was one of the speakers at Ron Paul's rally in Minneapolis during the Republican Convention...or even Bob Barr (who Dr. Paul did not invite to the rally). I believe that these two candidates are much more closely in line with Dr. Paul than McKinney or Nader...or even McCain or Obama. The nation was obviously open to Dr. Paul's message in this election season, but somewhere along the line he lost many mainstream voters. Dr. Paul seems to think it was because the media would not include him in the major debates (which is partially correct), but I also think it was because Dr. Paul and his supporters grew from passionate believers to shrill zealots. I have long agreed with Dr. Paul on many of his stances...but he is wrong to add Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader to his list of endorsements because some of his supporters will take him at face value and punch their ballots for one of these two detriments to society.
* Just as Obama gets angry at the McCain campaign for getting angry at the Obama campaign, a very visible supporter of Obama's plays the RACE CARD. These comments from the Governor of New York David Patterson are completely out of left field, and they are meant to be divisive and explosive.
* Democrat Charlie Rangel will not step down even with all of his recent tax problems. Republicans are the only ones who choose to step down when they are caught in compromising positions...maybe they should stop? We lost Newt Gingrich to an affair...Bill Clinton just got a little messy. We lost Trent Lott to a "racial" comment he made at Strom Thurmond's 100th Birthday Party...Robert Byrd (the former Klansman) gets showered with praise by fellow Democrats.
The above was sarcasm...I think both Republicans and Democrats should step down when they falter, whether for moral turpitude or for major political "gaffes". I would mark Rangel's as a major gaffe...but if it was on purpose it would fall under the turpitude column. (I argued the same way against Al Franken for a similar infraction)
* Charlie Rangel's tax problems are a good argument for something else...the Fair Tax. Charlie Rangel is the chair of the House Ways and Means Committee which oversees the tax code...if the chair of the committee cannot understand the tax code, how can I be expected to understand it?!?
* The scariest thing about Obama...and the people who support him. Only 29% of Obama supporters thing the Supreme Court should make rulings based on the Constitution. 29%!!!!!!!!!!
* The Catholic Church says Biden doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to abortion. Hmmmmm...this reminds me of someone else....

Biden gaffe!
Here is the height of hypocrisy! I mentioned the other day how Joe Biden said on "Meet the Press" that life begins at conception. Today said, “I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy…and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect,” he said. “Well, guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem cell research?”
So because Sarah Palin (who has a child with Down Syndrome) is against embryonic stem cell research, she is somehow against families with children with disabilities? Forget the fact that there is NO EVIDENCE that embryonic stem cells can be used to help in such cases (but real evidence that adult stem cells can work), on it's face this is another slimy, and callous attack on Governor Palin. I know Joe Biden has said stupid things before(Example one, Example two) but I had respect for the man because he at least seemed principled...this wipes that away for me.
Not a smooth move, my friend, not at all.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac...killin' us.
The bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is exactly whats wrong with our Government. While Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's failure could have sent shock waves through the worldwide economy(not to mention our economy), it is the Government's intervention that caused the problems to begin with. Of course both McCain and (even more so) Obama are "business as usual" with the bailouts! You should be very angry...

It also will make some people think that Democrats are willing to change...though the Republicans have been fighting for more drilling for years! Abortion matters...there must be change.
Baby at 8 weeks...I have been considering this for a couple of days, thanks to some conversations my wife and I have been having about the issue of abortion. My wife is amazing, she is extremely intelligent and thoughtful and is a wonderful sounding board for any and every idea that floats through my brain. Recently we have been watching the political news each night and noticing that anyone who is pro-life is some kind of right wing nut job. At least that's what the pro-choice people keep saying. I thought that maybe if I laid out a reason for my decision on the matter it might help to make pro-life advocates seem less right wing, for the liberal media.
I believe that murder is wrong, and should be prevented and once done...should be punished. I believe that life begins at conception, so abortion equals murder. Because I (and other pro-life advocates) believe that a baby is a person at conception how can we be faulted if this is a passionate debate for us? Our belief that a baby is a person makes us see abortion as a HOLOCAUST...and any reasonable person would be expected to step in and try and change things in such a situation.
* Joe Biden admits that the Republicans are right about abortion.
* Obama admitting that he says stupid things, and should probably think before he speaks. If he doesn't have a speech prepared he definitely struggles.
* Nancy Pelosi should be worried...she might just be losing her ticket to the happy hereafter!

* If I could only choose between the two major party's(thank goodness I can vote 3rd party), the first thing I would look at is how the two candidates differed in their views on the sanctity of life.

Conservative Canada?
www.cfif.orgAn interesting turn of events in Canadian politics, happened over the weekend. The Canadian Prime Minister dissolved the Parliament in hopes of getting a more favorable Parliament elected. The Prime Minister rules with a minority of his people in power making it very hard to accomplish the things he wants to accomplish. (Currently in the US we have a similar situation...a Republican President cannot accomplish his goals because the Democrats are the majority in the Legislature.) The surprising thing is this; liberals in Canada say this is the most Conservative government in Canadian history and there is a good chance that with a new election called for on October 14th, it will become even more conservative. The only reason Prime Minister Harper would dissolve Parliament and call for a new election is because he believes his party will win more seats.
If this happens it is part of a growing worldwide trend that is bucking the European liberalism of the last 30-40 years. In Germany the conservative Christian Democratic Union is in power, in England the Conservative Party under the leadership of David Cameron is getting stronger and may unseat the Labour Party in the next election. In France there is pro-US Nicholas Sarkozy who is leader of the conservative Union for Popular Movement party and President of France. In 2005 AnÃbal Cavaco Silva was elected President of Portugal from the center-right party of the Social Democrats of Portugal (the first conservative elected for the job since 1975).
I am the last person to say we should follow anything the folks in Europe(and Canada) are doing, but it is an interesting trend, and worth noticing. I am not sure if it is backlash to the growing threat of Islamofascism in Europe (where the Muslims community is growing exponentially), or if it is because the people of Europe are starting to notice that the liberal policies of their governments for the last 20 years have not been working. The Health care systems of England and Canada are broken, the economies of Europe are collapsing (though conservative governments are making progress already), and socialism throughout Europe is causing problems for the entire world. This is why so many of the nations of Europe were so quick to accept the European Union...they needed help with their economies. Whatever the reason, I welcome the HOPE FOR CHANGE to a more conservative, logical, and thoughtful Europe.

Is it McCain?
Well, I think John McCain made his case for President last night. And for the exact reasons he stated (and the Republicans have been arguing all along) I cannot vote for him. He is an American Hero, a man who has sacrificed more than anyone should ever be asked to sacrifice for their country...but that does not mean you should be President. I am going against my natural tendencies here, but John McCain predilection for working with the Democrat Party on legislation worries me. I know that McCain is the lesser of two evils...but hasn't that been the reason people have been casting their votes since Reagan ran for reelection? John McCain works too often with the Democrat Party and while I am American before I am anti-Democrat Party, the reason I generally vote Republican is because I disagree with almost everything the Democrat Party tries to accomplish. So when a candidate tries to get elected by saying I will accomplish a lot because I will work with the Democrats...it does not make me all fuzzy inside.

Day 3 of the RNC.
From michellemalkin.comSo I watched the entire night of the RNC yesterday. I have to say that I was quite impressed by the speakers...I was not impressed by the coverage CNN had of the speeches. Why is it, that when a Republican makes a speech that reinforces our core principles and beliefs it is pandering to the base? When the DNC was going on, I never heard the analysts say, "Well, that speech was just for the base...that wasn't intended for the swing voters..." I have a newsflash for these pundits - I watched the DNC and thought that the entire lot of speeches was focused on the base! I disagreed vehemently with almost every speakers take on America and how they would "change" things. I am part of the Republican Party's base...but I have become disaffected. However, Sarah Palin's speech (combined with Mitt Romney's) really did a lot to comfort me and make me consider a vote for the McCain-Palin ticket...I think that some of what was said by all 4 major speakers last night must have nudged some swing voters. There was a lot of substantive speech last night, unlike at the DNC. The RNC has been full of "red meat" where issues are discussed not personalities. Here are the transcripts to all four major speeches, plus Micheal Steele's (who also did a great job), and my grade of the speech.
* Sarah Palin's VP acceptance speech. A+ Governor Palin knocked this speech out of the park, and really brought up some important differences between Obama and McCain.
* Mitt Romney's speech. A I thought Mitt did an excellent job explaining the importance of a conservative view of economics, and why our way is better.
* Mike Huckabee's speech to the RNC. B+/A- I really liked Huckabee's speech, I think he is an excellent communicator (kind of reminds me of the personal touch of Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton). I thought the speech was perfect for swing voters in the fly-over states. Huckabee showed that the Republican Party is the party of the middle class...and that we live and work in middle America, not the big, all important media enhanced coastal cities.
* Rudy Giuliani 's rabid attack of the Democrat Party and its messiah Barrack Obama. A+++ I have never been a big Rudy fan...until last night. That was the ultimate partisan speech with the perfect amount of humor and candor about the "other" candidate. He may have been cutting...but his words were true, and that has to count for a lot.
* Micheal Steele is an intelligent guy who should have a bright future in politics...the only problem...he is from a state that won't vote for an African-American Republican. B His speech was a good apologetic for John McCain.
The long and the short of it for me was this...these speakers talked about policy and how Obama and McCain differ, and experience and how the candidates differ. They made a case for what McCain would do in office and how he would do it. While they all made the base feel more at ease with McCain, I felt they gave good arguments for why the swing voter in battleground states should be voting for John McCain.
All of this being said, I am still not voting for John McCain. Though I would much rather seem him in office than Barrack Obama, I cannot vote for McCain for the very reasons Joe Lieberman said that swing voters can. Bi-partisanship is watering down the right thing to do so that the wrong people are satisfied...and I cannot praise McCain for doing that. He reaches across the aisle way too often...I vote conservative for a reason...so my candidates will pass conservative legislation. Not so they will pass moderate legislation...or liberal legislation with a conservative spin.
* Great column on why Libertarians should feel comfortable with Sarah Palin. If McCain can steal some votes from Bob Barr and the Libertarians he could surprise the media with some key wins.
* This article from the Wall Street Journal shows that President Bush has little to apologize for when it comes to the economy.
* Sarah Palin is getting some positive press in the United Kingdom. From the Times, and from the Sun.
* The teleprompter broke during Rudy's speech and the problem carried over to Governor Palin's speech...but they both handled it like pro's...which is more than we can say for Obama.
* The New York Mets finished their sweep of the Brewers yesterday, and now find themselves up by 3 games over the Phillies. Hopefully, we can keep this momentum going forward into the Playoffs!!!

I hope she knocks this speech out of the park, what is amazing to me is that Sarah Palin can be the most important VP selection since Richard Nixon was selected as Eisenhower's running mate to solidify the conservative voters behind Ike. Voters actually care about what she has to say (unlike Dick Cheney, Al Gore, Jack Kemp, and Dan Quayle). More than that voters actually care about her addition to the ticket...just look at how she has energized the Republican base. Folks who could not care less about John McCain are now stridently supporting him, she has invigorated pro-life advocates, gun-rights supporters, energy worrywarts, and the Christian right into actually working to getting McCain elected. McCain's campaign was a listless monolith prior to the naming of Palin as VP, today the Republican party is an exhilarated juggernaut with a course towards victory in November.
I love listening to Fred Thompson talk, that man can spin a yarn...and his speech last night was PERFECT. He laid out the American story of John McCain, and why after all these years McCain is the candidate you can trust to always keep America's best interests at the forefront of all of his decisions. A couple of highlights from Thompson's speech:
"Democrats present a history making nominee for president," Thompson told the cheering crowd. "History making in that he is the most liberal, most inexperienced nominee to ever run for president.
"Apparently they believe that he would match up well with the history making, Democrat controlled Congress," he continued in the prime-time speech. "History making because it's the least accomplished and most unpopular Congress in our nation's history." - from CNN.com
Senator Lieberman's speech was also good. I am not one for the Kumbaya mentality of bi-partisanship but I thought that Lieberman laid out an argument that should win over intellectually honest independents who are looking for change in the status quo. McCain is obviously the more moderate of the two candidates, and he has been willing to poke a finger in the eye of the Republican establishment on numerous occasions. Barrack Obama is a party man. He never votes against the liberal wing of the Democrat Party, and on the odd occasion he has teamed with a Republican it has been for subjects everyone could agree on. (From CNN.com - "Gibbs cited Obama's work with Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Indiana, to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists and with Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Oklahoma, on the government budget.")
John McCain has long been the Democrats favorite Republican (lest we forget the 2004 speculation that McCain would be John Kerry's VP nominee), and only now are they turning on him. I thought Lieberman's speech was important for another reason. This is not Zell Miller who spoke to the convention last night (Miller was a former Democrat who supported President Bush and spoke at the 2004 RNC but was a conservative Democrat who is no longer a Democrat), this was Joe Lieberman the Democrat VP candidate from 2000 who still agrees with the Democrat Party on 98% of the political issues. The liberals already getting bent out of shape about this quote from Phil Gramm at the Republican National Convention ... "If you're sitting here today, you're not economically illiterate and you're not a whiner, so I'm not worried about who you're going to vote for."
So here is the headline for Democrats: "If you're not for John McCain you're economically illiterate." Actually that is pretty close to the truth. Anyone with an ounce of economic understanding would recognize that Obama's tax policies will be crippling to our economy. If your economic understand doesn't go beyond "That guy has more money that I do and I want some of it," then you are certainly a typical Obama supporter. On the Obama side we have people who couldn't tell you the difference between a profit and a profit margin if their lives depended on it ... and who couldn't write a cogent paragraph on the concept of supply and demand. If you told them that prices are the means by which a free economy allocates scarce resources they would stare at you with their mouths hanging open – uncomprehending brook trout.
How dare anyone accuse someone who is ignorant of being ignorant?

Gunning for the Playoffs!
The Mets have won again! We have taken the first two games from the Milwaukee Brewers and look for the sweep on Wednesday! A sweep we be great in a lot of ways, the momentum leading into the last series with Philly would be HUGE!
* There is talk out there of a possible MVP for the Mets Carlos Delgado! I would never have thought it possible back in June.
* I should also mention that Carlos Beltran has also been red hot lately, doing it again for us yesterday with a 3-run bomb in the 3rd inning.
* Jonathan Niese made his first ever start and was a wee bit shaky...but that's too be expected. He pitched well enough to keep the Mets in the game, and that's really what was important. Hopefully we will see better outings from him in the future.
Liberal Feminists attacking Feminism?
So, last night the news was full of two things (and no, I am not leading into a joke about how all Main Stream Media is biased and is full of poo)...they were reporting on Hurricane Gustav and Sarah Palin's daughter being pregnant.
First let me quickly address the people of Louisiana... People of Louisiana, please notice how smoothly things go and how well they are handled when a Republican is Governor. The hidden secret of the Katrina story is that while Bush was blamed, the President has never ever been the go to guy for any of the natural tragedies in our history. The Presidents office comes afterwards to offer federal funding and help...but the managers of that Federal aid are supposed to be on location. The Governor (then Kathleen Blanco) and the mayor of New Orleans (still Ray Nagin) botched the effort from beginning to end. Now, FEMA and the federal government do have blame in the aftermath...but some more serious thought into the pre-disaster plan would have made FEMA and the post-Katrina plan much easier to handle.
Now onto Governor Palin's "problems"...
First, her daughters pregnancy means nothing to me. Why should it? A parent can teach a child about abstinence and the problems that may arise from not practicing abstinence, but it is the child's responsibility to follow through with those lessons. The real story here is that her daughter is having the child and will raise it in (hopefully) a loving home. I did notice that the liberal blogoshpere decided to run with made up stories about the Governor's last child actually being the child of her daughter...
So now, that the pregnancy of her daughter is a "non-issue" how about the question of her being a "good mother"? Again all the proof you need that liberals are sick, rude, and hypocritical is on the web. Do a simple search with that phrase and you will find hundreds of very anti-feminist views from supposed "liberals". Here is a recent post from Michelle Malkin that is as clear and articulate as it gets.
For me the most important Sarah Palin question is whether she used her power as Governor unethically in the firing of the state public safety commissioner. If she did she loses all credibility as a reformer...but I will give her the benefit of the doubt until an investigation proves her guilty. If she passes this test, I think Sarah Palin will make a brilliant Vice President, and in the event John McCain passed away in office...I think she could be an excellent President.
* First the Obama campaign attacks Palin then Obama backs off and says "campaigns have a hair-trigger? Now the left-wing blogosphere is attacking Palin personally, but Obama says that her family is off limits... this is a win-win for Obama. His attack dogs tear her down, and he stands by and says "its a shame".
* It's odd how people who protest the RNC turn into rioters. Whats really odd is that I am pretty sure I saw all these people who are protesting the RNC last week at the DNC, only then they were cheering for Obama.
* Talk about sweet irony! Venezuela's capital suffering from blackouts and brownouts! More proof that capitalism works better than socialism every day of the week. Do you think a privately owned power company would let blackouts like this happen? Of course not! If they did the people would clamor for a competitor to begin providing the power to the city! Capitalism is always cheaper, and more efficient than state-run anything!

The Coronation of a Despot
www.cfif.orgGenerally I leave it to the left to use words like fascist, despot, dictator...etc. However, I will make an exception after watching last nights coronation of Barrack Obama. I am terrified that the Senator from Illinois might actually succeed in his quest to be President. I keep trying to convince myself that the American people are smarter than that...but then I remember that half the voters in the last election voted for John Kerry. Why are so many Americans so hasty to give up everything they have? Let me ask a few questions, maybe someone can enlighten me...
1. Why do Democrats want to continue social security? Wouldn't you rather keep that money and invest/save it yourselves? Can't you use that money to make more money better than the government?
2. Why do Democrats want Universal health care? Have you not seen the failures of Canada and the UK's health care systems? How about this from Glenn Beck:
"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, that 37 percent of the uninsured live in households making more than $50,000 a year, most of which can afford health insurance.
Twenty percent aren't even citizens of this country. One in three are eligible for government insurance, but aren't enrolled. So, while our health care is far from perfect, it's much better than Hillary wants you to believe."
3. Why would you raise taxes on businesses (even big, evil oil companies)? Will these companies keep their prices the same and just lose some profit to pay their taxes? Or will companies raise prices to meet this new cost?
The thing I understand the least though, is this...why would you give away your freedoms for a few "Big government bribes"...
Yes Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama might be making offers of some things that sound nice but if they adversely affect your freedom why would you accept that?

Big, Bad Russia.
www.cfif.orgWell, I wanted to comment on some of this summer's happenings that I have not yet written about. Particularly, the Olympics and Russia's invasion of Georgia.
My wife and I got to enjoy a lot of the Olympic events over the 2+ weeks of activity, I think my favorite was probably men's water polo, men's volleyball, and men's beach volleyball...though women's beach volleyball was good too. Hate Olympic diving, and I think that it is a travesty that baseball/softball will be out of the next summer Olympics but Rhythmic gymnastics and speed walking will continue to be Olympic sports...are you kidding me! Micheal Phelps was brilliant, and Dalhausser and Rogers were a great volleyball pair. I felt horrible for the family of the men's volleyball coach, I could not imagine a greater range of emotions than he felt this summer. The Opening and Closing ceremonies were spectacular but though China tried its best it could not hide the evil that is communism behind its Olympic facade. Rick Reilly uncovers the two faced monster that is China.
Russia continues to flex its muscles on the world stage, and not in the Olympic weight lifter way. We found out during the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics that Russian and Georgian forces had met in combat. Within days Russia had taken half the small nation of Georgia and was threatening the capital of Tbilisi. A few reasons this whole thing was so disheartening...First, Georgia has been a staunch ally of ours during the war in Iraq/Afghanistan. Secondly, Georgia's government is democratically elected - so we have a kinship there that transcends being allies. Third, Georgia is a key component of lowering world oil prices (by allowing nations to pipe oil through Georgia into Europe instead of buying it from Russia). Fourth, Georgia is an important strategic ally in the building a missile defense shield.
The Russians government is not duly elected as recent "election" shams have proven. (Here's another good article about their recent rigged "election".) The government is an autocratic one, where the people have no say and much like Venezuela or Cuba dissenters are quieted by force. The real fear for me is that this could be the touch point for a new Cold War...or worse WW III. The Ukraine is terrified that Russia will soon be marching her armies through the Ukrainian countryside. Poland, Moldova, and the Czech Republic are all very worried too. Where there is smoke there is fire. The fact that so many countries are worried that they may be next should tell us something...we need to be very deliberate and circumspect over the next few days, weeks, months, and years as we deal with Russia.
* Apparently the demise of our economy was a little overstated.
* Not even China will back up the Russians.
* Nancy Pelosi should keep her yapper shut about things she know nothing about (though I guess she would never speak if that were the case).

A not so brave new world....

I take a lot of comfort from those words. Considering the threat of Al-Qaeda and radical fascist Islam, the rise of China, and the resurrection of a powerful Russia...things look dicey. But consider the "Greatest Generation" who fought in WWII - things must have looked fairly bleak then, but they made it through. Or those who suffered but persevered through the Great Depression. Or the many who sadly lived through the decimation of our nation and our painful rebirth through the Civil War and Reconstruction. In the Presidential election season, I am taking one candidates advice and "hoping" and "dreaming" of a better tomorrow. Which is why I feel it is all the more important that America elect a conservative President and Congress. Leaders who will take pains to uphold conservative ideals like; non-interference with foreign nations, lower taxes, lower spending, a military that is well funded, well trained, and lightly used. Leaders who will make America self-sufficient in manufacturing, technology, and agriculture. Leaders who recognize that the United Nations has actually caused more conflict than it has solved, and leaders who take to heart the words of our founding fathers, such as "peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, ENTANGLING ALLIANCES WITH NONE", wise words from Thomas Jefferson. Leaders who will support a culture of life(from the womb to the most elderly), (personal)liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
In fact here are a few more wise words from our George Washington, perhaps you can get an idea of what he was hoping for from these statements.

Summer Vacation
From http://www.cfif.orgIt has been quite a while since my last post, and now as the summer draws to an end I feel the need to start writing again. I have missed quite a few important events in my hiatus and I might recap my view of the things that transpired in the near future. Today I want to just hit on a few things, to get back into the swing of blogging.
* I watched parts of the Democratic National Convention last night and realized a few things: First, I need to hope more. Second, I need to believe more. Third, America is great. Fourth, I need to hope more...ummm.... Lastly, Republicans are pessimists who cannot buy into Barrack Obama's message.
I have to say that I was hot livid last night during this dog and pony show. Why does the Media never point out the lack of substance in Obama's message? Hope, unity, and belief are all great but how does Mr. Obama intend to unify us when he fights for the exact opposite of the things we conservatives want?
He will ease access to abortion. He will raise taxes. He will raise spending. He will make energy more expensive by not allowing drilling off of American coastlines (even though the Chinese are set to start drilling in the Florida Strait off the coast of Cuba - which will take from our oil deposits). He will make gay marriage a civil right. He will weaken our National Security by casting aside the European missile shield, and withdrawing our troops from Iraq too soon. He will do the exact opposite of everything I want him to do...how will he bring unity between people who believe as I do and his party, who believes the converse?
It has nothing to do with party affiliation and everything to do with the battle of ideas. For his part, I do believe that Barrack Obama has very strong beliefs and I do believe he will fight for those beliefs. The problem is that they run counter to everything I believe, and I would venture to guess the things that about 50% of the country believe. This is why Mr. Obama's message thus far has been clouded in nebulous double talk and opaque cliches.
I hope, I believe, I welcome unity, I KNOW America is the greatest of nations.... I just think you are wrong about...well...everything.
* Mr. Obama chose Senator Joe Biden as his running mate. I have nothing bad to say about him except that I disagree with him on most things too. Also, he seems to have diarrhea of the mouth, sometimes. (Example One, Example Two)
* Here is Mr. Obama being a facist...apparantley now, we can't question his friendships.
* Still have not changed my mind on John McCain...though he continues to move further and further to the right. I just don't think I can vote for that guy.
* The Olympics were great, but China is scary.
* Russia wants a fight...and not with Georgia. I think they are spoiling for a fight with the good ol' U.S. of A.

This is how I know that Democrats in general are big dummies. This makes no sense. Yes Florida and Michigan get to vote but they have half shares...and Barack Obama actually got pledged voters from Michigan even though he was not on Michigan's ballot. Something stinks there...

Gay marriage is gay!
From Daryl Cagle's Professional Cartoonist IndexI have to admit, the gay marriage debate is not one that gets me riled up. I don't like it, but I don't get worked up over it. What I do get worked up over is when our courts overstep their boundaries and mess with the will of the people. This isn't the first time that this has happened, in other states the courts have ruled similarly...but in California the court consistently and blatantly bends the law to local morays. In Nebraska, Tennessee, Georgia, New York and even Massachusetts the courts have ruled that the will of the people is preeminent in this argument.
Generally the argument gets painted as a civil rights issue but it is not a civil rights issue, don't be fooled. Homosexuals in America have the same rights as heterosexuals...marriage is not a right but a privilege. Today in America homosexuals are able to have almost all benefits heterosexual couples enjoy in most places...the marriage ceremony is an ancient (and religious) ceremony and should be handled as such.

* Indiana Jones opened Thursday to solid numbers, but in Russia the communist party members are seeing red. Apparently they are upset because the movie casts the Soviet Union in a poor light. This article made me laugh because it seems that some Russians think communism was good for Russia.
* If Al Franken wins his election in Minnesota it will mean that a former columnist for Playboy who just happens to be a tax evader and crude hatemonger will be a Senator too.
* Fox News is one of the few networks still doing real unbiased investigational work that can make a difference...thanks to the networks uncovering of OPEC's miserliness to the world, Saudi Arabia has agreed to pony up 500$ million to the world food program.
* Fred Thompson tells us that Conservatism is not dead. Can't say I am as sure as Mr. Thompson...but I hope he is right.
* The Wall Street Journal had a reasoned and well written article by Senator Joe Biden. I am not used to hearing a good argument from a Democrat so this took me off guard, and I decided I should link to it. I am not saying I agree with Mr. Biden, but I can't say I disagree either. Let me say this, I agree with almost everything he says but not his conclusions. I think that either McCain or Obama would be a bad move for this country...I believe we have seen the best candidates from either party drop out of the race already.
* Memorial Day is coming up on Monday, please remember to keep our soldiers in your thoughts and prayers. Also, remember to thank the LORD for those who came before to give us the freedom we enjoy today.

Some ideas fo John McCain
An article in the International Herald Tribune about McCain meeting with three possible VP candidates got me thinking about who would make a good VP for McCain. The article says that McCain has set up meetings with Mitt Romney, Charlie Crist, and Bobby Jindal. Romney most of the country knows as the recently failed Republican Presidential nominee. Charlie Crist is the smooth Governor of Florida who helped McCain win Florida. My personal favorite of the three is Bobby Jindal the conservative Governor of Louisiana...who won his election on a pro-life (absolutely pro-life) platform and favoring the teaching of intelligent design in public schools. Here are my favorites for the job: the aforementioned Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, and former Congressman JC Watts of Oklahoma. For those of you who would like to know who I think should be the Democrat VP nominee, I am having trouble deciding between poop and Jimmy Carter.
* Obama has started his VP search too...still a little presumptive, I say.
* Hugo Chavez says the USA is spying on his poverty stricken, disease and drug filled, rain forest hole of a country. I don't dislike Venezuela but any group of people who elects that neanderthal has to be partaking of the narcotics that they export.
* More proof the Democrats look down their collective noses at our military. Iowa Senator Tom Harkin said recently that he thought McCain's family history of service in the military would make him a poor choice for President. The article is also brings up Harkin's embarrassing embellishment of his own military career.
* Here is the story of a National Guard deserter trying to whine his way into staying in Canada so he doesn't go to jail. Here's a suggestion folks: if you don't want to fight as a soldier...don't join the military. (I have a little leeway here for those who are drafted) I am tired of soldiers deserting because the war is "unjust". If fighting in battle was up to each soldier's conscience then anarchy would reign in the ranks of the military. It is not up to the soldier to decide the "justness" of a conflict, it is up to the voter's at home and the politicians they elect.
* The situation in Iraq is improving, and the biggest obstacle we face there? Iran. How does the world not see that corrupt and dangerous regime for what it is, a terrorist state?
Iran lies, the whole world dies.

No Obama today...I hope.
I was really interested to read this article on The Hill about how the White House was recently upset by NBC. It seems that the WH took offense to the way an interview with the President was edited by NBC, and from the letter I can't say they are wrong.
I was intrigued by this paragraph too, as it was something I hadn't thought about for a while:
“I noticed that around September of 2007, your network quietly stopped referring to conditions in Iraq as a ‘civil war,’ ” Gillespie wrote. “Is it still NBC News’s carefully deliberated opinion that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war? If not, will the network publicly declare that the civil war has ended, or that it was wrong to declare it in the first place?”
I forgot NBC did this, and was mildly surprised when I realized that they indeed had stopped calling it a civil war. I wonder which side won...if indeed the "civil war" is no longer a civil war.
I thought that this paragraph from Mr. Gillespie was hilarious, he takes a nice swipe at MSNBC:
I’m sure you don’t want people to conclude that there is really no distinction between the ‘news’ as reported on NBC and the ‘opinion’ as reported on MSNBC, despite the increasing blurring of those lines,” Gillespie concluded. “I welcome your response to this letter, and hope it is one that reassures your broadcast network’s viewers that blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Christopher Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC don’t hold editorial sway over the NBC network news division.”
I liked it because the first thought that popped into my head was "Keith Olbermann is a dummy".
* Apparently minorities don't want to be Republican...this article bothered me...The author says that the GOP is having a hard time recruiting electable minorities. Instead of "electable" minorities you could insert the word "liberal". The reason minority Republicans don't win too many elections is because other minorities call them sell outs. If a black man who believes welfare is "a foot on the throat of the African-American community runs for office, he will be called the meanest names and lose in a landslide. Republican minorities can win in Republican communities (JC Watts, Bobby Jindal and Mel Martinez for example) but not in Democrat ones. The Democrat party has done a good job hiding the fact that they are the party of racial intolerance, and they have instead tried to give the Republican party that label. Anyone who will look fairly at the situation will see that the DNC is not being honest.

I was intrigued by this paragraph too, as it was something I hadn't thought about for a while:
“I noticed that around September of 2007, your network quietly stopped referring to conditions in Iraq as a ‘civil war,’ ” Gillespie wrote. “Is it still NBC News’s carefully deliberated opinion that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war? If not, will the network publicly declare that the civil war has ended, or that it was wrong to declare it in the first place?”
I forgot NBC did this, and was mildly surprised when I realized that they indeed had stopped calling it a civil war. I wonder which side won...if indeed the "civil war" is no longer a civil war.
I thought that this paragraph from Mr. Gillespie was hilarious, he takes a nice swipe at MSNBC:
I’m sure you don’t want people to conclude that there is really no distinction between the ‘news’ as reported on NBC and the ‘opinion’ as reported on MSNBC, despite the increasing blurring of those lines,” Gillespie concluded. “I welcome your response to this letter, and hope it is one that reassures your broadcast network’s viewers that blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Christopher Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC don’t hold editorial sway over the NBC network news division.”
I liked it because the first thought that popped into my head was "Keith Olbermann is a dummy".
* Apparently minorities don't want to be Republican...this article bothered me...The author says that the GOP is having a hard time recruiting electable minorities. Instead of "electable" minorities you could insert the word "liberal". The reason minority Republicans don't win too many elections is because other minorities call them sell outs. If a black man who believes welfare is "a foot on the throat of the African-American community runs for office, he will be called the meanest names and lose in a landslide. Republican minorities can win in Republican communities (JC Watts, Bobby Jindal and Mel Martinez for example) but not in Democrat ones. Murderer...
If you call yourself a Christian you cannot vote for Barack Obama. Not you should not, not you might consider first, but you CANNOT vote for him. Barack Obama has continually fought for the most heinous forms of abortion this nation has ever seen... infanticide. This article from ex-nurse Jill Stanek at WorldNetDaily.com is not just eye-opening or mind-boggling but completely UNBELIEVABLE. If you think a Christian can be pro-choice...okay...I won't argue that right now. But no logical human being can believe that Jesus was pro-murder, and since Obama fought the infanticide legislation is would stand to reason that he was for allowing it to continue. Which leads to my culminating point, you cannot call yourself a Christian and be for Barack Obama.

* Senator Robert Byrd the once KKK member who gets a free pass for the racist comments he makes and is much loved by the members of his party has endorsed Mr. Obama.
* Obama's hypocrisy: He called out John McCain today for his links to lobbyists but consistently says that one should not be judged by the company they keep or the people who give them money. Just a short list of Obama's "friends": Tony Rezko the corrupt businessman who loves Mr. Obama but has been cast out of his circle of friends. Jeremiah Wright the racist, hate-filled, anti-USA, preacher from Chicago. Bill Ayers the hate-filled terrorist that to this day does not believe he did anything wrong while working as a founder of the so-called Weather Underground.
And for all this and much more (which I cannot write because I do not have that kind of time)...as a rational thinking person, I will not... cannot vote for Barack Obama.
