There is no biblical argument that can support abortion...none. My attempt was to provide a convincing appeal from a purely rational standpoint...if a pre-born baby lives, it must be protected as a seperate person. I look forward to checking out your blog...thanks for stopping by!the Ramblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02907239584814320799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22530789.post-59263964777502643582009-01-28T12:31:00.000-08:002009-01-28T12:31:00.000-08:00Good assessment of the abortion debate. I found this after blogging about the same issue.

Unfortunately, many debate the issue (mainly the pro-abortion side) from an appeal to emotion rather than sound logic. There is really no logical way to defend the practice biblically. Unfortunately, some Christians are trying to do so.Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01342938514040310724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22530789.post-71108913793988064592009-01-28T12:27:00.000-08:002009-01-28T12:27:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01342938514040310724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22530789.post-74021510156581159082009-01-27T12:47:00.000-08:002009-01-27T12:47:00.000-08:00That is what I was attempting to accomplish with t...That is what I was attempting to accomplish with this article. A sound reasoned assesment of the pro-abortion argument. It has too many holes...because pressed on the issue many pro-abortionists would say that a child in the womb was "alive"...but that it was not a person. That thought process is very dangerous.
I agree on the federal funding but am having a tougher time coming up with an argument on that because our tax money funds things we disagree with all of the time. (War, other nations, science, technology, education, etc.) I know that some of these are not controversial but for someone they could be...
The only answer I see is eliminating the income tax. We must adopt the Fair Tax and allow people to choose when they are taxed.the Ramblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02907239584814320799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22530789.post-46909246638689635552009-01-27T08:13:00.000-08:002009-01-27T08:13:00.000-08:00Sometimes I find it very difficult to argue my pro...Sometimes I find it very difficult to argue my pro-life stance with someone who is on the opposite end. Therefore, I believe we cannot necessarily leave it up to the gov't to fight for or against this issue, mainly because they are working in the best interest of their party, and not of the U.S. as a whole. Although it is true that the U.S. gov't can prohibit us from other social issues (drinking, smoking, drugs, etc), I believe that abortion is much more serious problem. I have no other solution to how it should be handled b/c everyone's morals/values are different. How can you argue about morals?

Also, using taxes to fund abortions/abortion clinics is an attack on my individual freedoms. If I am wholeheartedly against an issue, you CANNOT use my money to provide funding for said issue. If you believe a woman has a right to choose, than that is YOUR belief, not mine. And I should not be obligated to pay for it. Would you fund terrorism with taxpayer dollars?Brandon8https://www.blogger.com/profile/17316752794496375951noreply@blogger.com
